Dahlia Golden Torch is a gorgeous Pompom Dahlia that produces sunny yellow blooms for months in summer. With their neat rows of cylindrical petals that resemble honeycomb, it’s easy to see why Pompom varieties are so popular. Plant at the back of a border to add some height throughout the season. Growing at a glance…
Dahlia tubers can be planted outdoors, 10cm deep in fertile well-drained soil in spring when the frost has disappeared. They prefer to be in a sunny location and spaced at approximately 45cm apart. In areas where there is extreme cold, dig up dahlias and store in potting compost over the winter. Apply a high potash fertiliser every few weeks in the summer to help growth. Dead head when necessary.
