Bring a look of the tropics to boring patios and decking with the Canna Louis Cottin. Large amber yellow heads open from an abundance of spikes, surrounded by broad, green-black foliage blushed plum and red. Cannas provide excellent focal points in summer bedding schemes and are extremely easy to grow. Originating from South East Asia, the Canna prefers moist well-drained soil and full sun, although partial sun is fine. We recommend Calla Lilies if you want your landscape to take on the ambience of a tropical resort, and Freesia if you are looking to give your garden a sweet fragrance. Top quality Rhizomes supplied. Flowers July to October. Height 60cm.

Growing at a glance…
Unpack immediately upon arrival and give them a little water if needed. If potting up into containers, use a balanced compost as it is inclined to produce a hard crust if allowed to dry. Water freely during the growing season and make sure to dead-head regularly to prolong flowering. To plant bulbs, ensure they’re planted 7-10cm deep. They are often best started in pots and then transplanted in borders or beds towards the end of May. The best placement for them is to plant them in a sunny position, preferably out of the wind.
